Minimum Education/Experience Requirements This individual must possess knowledge of computers, databases, process mapping, computer networks, and common communication applications. Ideally, this individual will have an Associate of Science degree and be working towards a Bachelor of Science degree or higher in the field of information management or an associated discipline.
Job Description Project Description: Amway is preparing to deploy an enterprise-wide Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Durable product, and medical devices in particular, are slated to receive this new software system in the first wave of deployment. Satisfactory deployment will require design steps to understand and accommodate the business processes utilized during product development and support by Durables R&D. This project will attempt to map the current state of these processes as well as to develop a future state map that can be used during the design and deployment of the PLM software system.
Project Objective:
1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Durables business processes including new product development, value engineering (a.k.a. maintenance or support) and Change Control.
2. Identify and map any other business processes required for the performance of product development, maintenance, and support functions.
3. Gain an understanding of PLM system requirements and data models.
4. Develop process maps and procedures of all current business processes or required future processes.
Success Criteria: Successfully demonstrated a defendable Arsenic reduction model for Zirconium Oxide and Iron Oxide through experimentation.
This is a summer 2015 internship; qualified candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and one semester or more left of school to complete at the beginning of their internship. Candidates who have graduated are not eligible to intern. This position is located in Ada, Michigan.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
